Week 4

The mealplans cover groceries and dinner recipes for four days, always for two people. Except on Mondays, when I cook for 3 small children and three adults.

What we ate:

Monday: Easy chicken in red curry.

Tuesday: Plaice with asparagus and salmon eggs.

Wednesday: Soba noodles and oyster mushrooms.

Thursday (and Friday!): Maltese rabbit stew.

This is my shopping list to cover for these five dinners:

  • Rice noodles.
  • Precut wok vegetables like broccoli, carrots, red and green peppers, bamboo shoots, corn, onion rings, sugar snaps…. Around 800 grams.
  • Chicken, around 1 kilo.
  • Red curry, a small jar.
  • 2 cans of coconut milk, 600 ml.
  • Grass-fed butter.
  • 2 plaice.
  • Asparagus, 600 grams.
  • Salmon eggs. Small jar.
  • Soba noodles.
  • Celery, a bushel.
  • Oyster mushrooms and regular mushrooms, 600 grams.
  • 1 big rabbit in pieces (1 kilo).
  • a few stalks of leek.
  • a few carrots.
  • a bottle of white wine.

From the pantry:

Olive oil, walnut oil, parsley, garlic, capers, bay leaves, ground sea salt and ground black pepper.
